Haha, I don't wanna break my shit before Sunday.

 

Sounds like I'll be watching "red rock" from the sidelines haha!!

 

It's one of those quasi-legal local spots. It's mostly sandy red clay with a bunch of hill climbs and such. Pretty fun, but definitely 4WD only. I popped a CV there last year and then tried to run it in 2WD (with a rear locker) and was struggling bad. Had to kamikaze a few hills just to get back to the road.

Frank has some video of it from last year...if he'd ever get around to uploading it. He's a year behind, damn it, and he was pretty much the only one at the Annual Meet taking video...although he's not the only guilty party. @Alfuh took some video too that I don't think he's uploaded.

 

Don't use me as an indicator. My shit breaks if the wind blows to damn hard. Hell, it toasted a damn rear wheel seal sitting still under the carport last year.

I have 4wd but stock street tires and still under 3k miles on the truck... I love hitting some trails but would like my truck to remain in one piece for a bit longer LOL

 

I wish I paid more attention as to what was where during the February meet. The group I was with hit the one trail that had sand hills of various heights and difficulties coming off the main trail. Most weren't too technical but were fun nonetheless. Sounds similar to what you're talking about but I don't recall any red clay.

 

not at all, Red Rock is north of Citrus and not apart of the WMA. Yall hit trail 9 or 11 IIRC

 

Gotcha. Either way I'm hoping to actually be able to drive my truck for more than one day this time. Maybe even drive it back home

Just keep in mind, they know we're coming and the sand hills are off limits. Get caught on them it's a $300 something dollar ticket. We need to stick to the legal trails going forward.

 

No it ain't. Red Rock on Sunday! So when (not if) the OGT decides to break, it happens on the last day.

Of course, now that I said that, she'll probably break at Citrus just to spite me. I can normally run Citrus in 2WD, except some of the water holes, but if it's as gnarly as the group last weekend said it was, I might have to use 4WD in a couple spots which will give her an opportunity to break the weak-ass frontend.

 

It won't break at Red Rock! just don't try those powdery hill climbs. Plenty of fun technical stuff

 

Still, I think Brian had some interesting activities planned for Saturday. Might not want to miss that. We'll see how it goes though. If a bunch of ppl want to run Red Rock Saturday morning, we can still run Citrus a bit in the afternoon and then there's the night ride.

 

I don't remember seeing them, but I'd like to. Don't be a another Frank, get that stuff uploaded, haha.
