What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

My aftermarket antenna grommet was leaky, not the main harness grommet. So far that grommet is okay I hope. Also think water is coming in from my rear windows so I can't help you bros

love the color. But kinda lame about the body damage..but better then your current body damage

 

Haha, gonna feel much better with 4.10s, I'm not worried about the body damage at all. It's a wheeler only, but I still might use a mallet to pop it out a bit and give it a quick spray paint so it isn't rusty. The frame on this thing is perfect though and the body doesn't leak. Digging the color, told you I'd find one

 

Finally washed the truck after 8 months.

I like the locking gas door. I miss that feature on my 03. My 99 had one. Not sure why toyota got rid of em. Did you get it re-keyed to match your ignition key or do you have a separate key for the gas door?

 

I can pull the one off my 95 if you want one.

That would be cool but I don't think green would look good on lunar mist lol

 

I'm sure a paint place wouldn't think much of painting a 6" x 6" square although lunar is common , you could probably find a paint match can easily.

 

Might be easier to check local junk uards. There's a Toyota junk yard somewhere in Houston I been meaning to check out

Got the Tacoma up on the lift to inspect the underbody. Gotta love California and non existence of rust. It's in great shape.

 

How do you check this? I have the same problem. I have to hold the gas handle up halfway to keep it from clicking off every 0.125 gallons.

 

I hate to break it to you, but you're missing the transfer case, front DS, front diff, CVs and 4WD hubs.

 

Finally got new pads, rotors, and calipers put on last night and now there is a loud clunk/jerk when the truck comes to a stop...

Never had so many problems on brake maintenance.

 

Sounds dumb but make sure a cailper bolt didn't back out.
