I didn't see any yellow post sites or campgrounds but there has to be something nearby. One thing to note on the weekends this trail is popular with dirt bikes. This trail also accesses splinters cabin hike, devils hole, and dishpan springs trail (super hard trail). So there is lots to do.

There are miles and miles of trails. Just look for the sign posts that describe the trail. You learn pretty fast what they mean.

Thanks! Yeah it was nice because it didn't have any cliffs or areas where shit can really hit the fan. I had the family with me so I wanted something mostly safe and not far from civilization if we had to walk out. Good times though my wife drove part of it. Had a blast. @dtaco06 I'm not sure if I will have time to do that other trail you sent me to big bear. The 1yr old gets pretty restless back there after a few hours.

Yeah I saw those posts. I've done quite a bit up here last year with a friend and learned a lot about the truck and trails and signs.

Really good spot to test out new tires or suspension since it's pretty wide open. Especially during the week. There wasn't much traffic

We should have a middle of the week work ditch day to go play in dirt.

Yup. Them are the signs. Bigger ups and downs typically need sliders and 33's to make it through unscathed. At least that was true on cleghorn and pilot truck.

I'll stay away from there. I'm off Wilshire and La Brea and all I have to deal with is a guy standing on the corner blowing kisses at cars as they pass by.

Knowing now that it's worse just a couple blocks up, I might blow a kiss back...

Sounds good. Since I usually work weekends. I'm on vacation up in Arrowhead right now. Might go take the kids to Lake Gregory today.

That lake sounds familiar I think my dad used to take me fishing up there when I was a kid. I should start fishing again I used to love it.

Be careful where you Park up there at Gregory. Last time I was there they had a towing racket going on, if you didn't pay they towed almost immediately. At least at the lake. Signs were not posted clearly and it was a post in the parking lot with a drop box. Easy to overlook, bastard just about had my 07 a few years back.

Yes and have not caught any thing in years there. Stopped going after parking Nazi thing and didn't catch a fish that trip or previous 2 trips. You want to fish. Goto Green valley or big bear fawnskin side between red house and first porta potty.

Lake Gregory was ok. We made the best of it. Kids had a blast. Got two compliments on the truck today. One was "nice Toyota" and the other was someone impressed with me washing the kids off with my onboard water pressure system that @ProForce puts together

Nice! Im on a road trip through upstate Cali all week and today im in San Francisco... we went down to the beach for some cool pics under Golden Gate Bridge and after going back to the truck this lady saw us rinsing off. She said "excuse me, is that an amphibious vehicle?" She was dead serious!! Then after giggling and telling her oh no, she said "thats not a parascope?" (Referring to the snorkel) I proceeded to laugh and again told her no lol. Although this lady had a few screws loose, that water kit definitely gets peoples attention. Really glad to see you putting it to use
