    Regear to 5.13s, that'll shoot you off the line. Who needs >60mph anyway?

    The Gen 3 is the first Toyota truck with the torque numbers lower than the HP. It pretty much says that torque is not important anymore.

    So if torque was 200 and HP was 199 that would be OK? :jerkoff: Seriously, what?

    It says it's pretty much the same as the 2nd gen.... so what, they've never been known as torque monsters. You want more low end buy a different truck.

    The 3.4l has good low end torque for a compact pickup. I'm sure the 4.0 was even better but I haven't driven one.

    We had a 97' 4Runner. That truck with the 3.4l would pull hard. Not the fastest truck but again... not a race car.

    Horsepower is a result of torque, yo.

    HP = (TQ * RPM)/5252

    Therefore TQ > HP since RPM = Mommy & TQ = Daddy

    Mommy + Daddy = HP
