@Aw9d.. any input on the low boost thing? The obvious things to check are vacuum/boost leaks.. but this tensioner thing started to make me think. belt slippage due to a bad tensioner? I guess I will find out tomorrow when I pick it up if it makes more boost or not. after that.. its on to checking lines and fittings i guess.

Not much input from me. I've never owned an SC car/truck but the tensioner would make sense. Not sure if it would cause that much loss in boost but it would effect boost if it wasn't working right. I was reading on ttora that a guys bypass valve diaphram was faulty and that caused his lack of boost.

Mine broke the first time I changed the belt on it. I didn't want to replace it and still haven't, so I just wedge the bottle jack in between the tensioner and frame anytime I need to pull the belt off. But definitely shady and that's why I never take my truck to the dealer. First time in 5 years it was at a dealer was today to get the tranny flushed. I'll see them again in another 100k miles or so.

Doesn't the tensioner have a spot to put a 1/2" breaker bar to remove the belt?

Sure does. I don't know if mine was cracked from the factory, or if the dealer cracked it when they did the initial install, but the first time I touched it that 1/2" drive hole broke off

Well shit. Lol. Ok, thanks for the tip! And I know.. I avoid them too.. this was just due to time.. needed it done before our trip this weekend.

That's exactly what happened with mine.. I'm assuming anyways, based off of just knowing the part and what they described to me.

Yeah this was definitely the last straw. Sucks, cus the advisor is a good dude, he helped get this sorted.. but their techs.... Ugh.

Thanks man. I'm hoping it's just belt slippage. That would be a nice easy fix, especially with the current situation.

Damn. Reminds me of my house 10 years ago. This is my backyard and pool. We lost 15 or 16 houses in our neighborhood.
