    A thing or two...
Just get a set of covers and keep them in the truck. If you ever get pulled over and hassled, just play dumb and put them on then.

A couple of us at work do lowbed moves in between dump trailer work. On occasion we need an escort so I use the truck. Those are all led strobes. I've got hide-a-ways in the headlights and tail lights too.

Doesn't even have a license plate yet!
I'd love to see a video or pictures of your lights while activated... Sounds like a nice clean and useful installation!

I have a video of the front just before I swapped the headlights. Give me a few to figure out how to do it.

Now for the disclaimers....... this type of lighting is not legal in all states or towns. And there are many restrictions on what color strobes , and/or, combinations of colors are allowed. You need to check with your town and state to see what is allowed.
I carry a town permit in the truck at all times. It states that it has been inspected and registered with law enforcement in my town.
In some cases a civilian vehicle may have emergency colors such as reds or blues but that would be a volunteer firefighter for instance. Again, I cannot stress enough how important it is to check with your state and town to see what is allowed.

Sometimes we run a lowbed trailer in between the dump trailer. If we're moving an oversized load we need an escort vehicle. Sometimes one of the guys escort me an I them.

Sorry, I didn't have any pics of anything really big on the lowbed. This is my "wip" at work

So I did this today, just in time for Independence Day. Maybe use it for some other awesome flags throughout the year...
The pole is 1/2" x 72" black iron pipe and the flag is rated for high winds and made in the USA.
Flag pole holder from @ragofabrication made in the USA as well.:oldglory:
I'll paint it later. Is it supposed to have the bolt to hold it in place? 'Cause if so, it wasn't in the box.
I put a piece on the end of the pipe so it won't come out and people can't just pick it up and walk off with it.
I used a small shackle to hold the bottom of the flag in place, works really well and rated to 450 pounds, I think?
I got one of those pieces for the top... don't know what it's called, attached a carabiner to it 200 pound rating... I think? I need to bore the hole out a little so it fits all the way through.
    How did I do?
