Home depot limit 5 double packs until July 4th. Every Memorial day, 4th of July, and Labor day at both places for quite a few years now. They used to be 2x20 pound bags. The last sale I finally switched out my bottom bags of stash and put the old stuff on top and discovered 4 double bags of 20 pounders, been 3-4 years since they sold those. Always good idea to rotate old stock.

Yeah it is that freaking half ton of charcoal already sitting there on the pallet in the garage that you have to move first, stack the new, then restack the old on top that gets in the way LOL.

So it becomes LIFO. Damn that is bringing back memories of APL (A programming language) and Big Blue in 76 :anonymous: Although there are occasions where LIFO does apply, charcoal stock is not one of them LOL.

What kind of probes are you guys who have the WSM using for temps? I've come to the conclusion over my past couple of smokes that my temps MUST be off, and probably by a good bit. I'm using the WSM 18" if anyone has recs. Been reading up on Google and Amazon on probes, too, but wondering specifically what WSM peoples are using. Thanks!

ThermoWorks Smoke and ThermaPen was highly recommended. I'm glad I bought them...so nice setting high and low alarms then putting my feet up.

Maverick dual probe. I know my wsm lid thermometer is off. It's says it's 175 in there right now and it's been in the shade and rain all day.

We don't get enough maters to dry. I can my extra peppers, and specifically plant jalapeños to can for people. I don't eat them myself, except if I make salsa.

I don't have a wsm, yet. But I got one of the thermopro like listed below. I've had no issues with it to date.

Don't say you can't, you can!! It doesn't move as fast as some of the threads.

Those are both a few nickels and dimes, and I was kinda afraid that was what I was going to have to look at spending. But probably going to have to pay it up to get that meat right!

Here isn't the one I got. Only downside, no low temp alarm.
