I am not a fan of cats, but they sure as hell are handy for keeping mice at bay. I am in a neighborhood with more than a few cats running around, so I never see them here. If I ever move out to an area with more space I'll probably get a cat just for mice.

Never really ever heard anyone describe a coyote as cool. You must be from the city where there are no coyotes eating your pets.
Coyote are vermin. Just like a rat.

OK.. that sound is actually a Vixen Red Fox...looking for love.... I have heard it many times ...actually got to watch her screaming 2 times during the night..!! I did not expect it was a red fox...but it was.
There is no such thing as a "fisher cat"... It is actually a "fisher", a member of the weasel family. Actually the Fisher does NOT scream at all....!!

    Talk to any wildlife biologist..!

I don't live in a city and also have two small dogs, and I still like coyotes. Definitely not vermin, have you ever watched one when it didn't know you were watching? Exactly like a dog, but if you don't like dogs I guess I can see why you would not like coyotes.

Apex predators are important for a healthy ecosystem, without coyotes our rodent population would explode. I lived 45 minutes from the nearest gas station for a decade so I'm country you could say. Also lived in San Francisco for 15 years too. There is coyote in SF, they closed a few trails in the presidio recently because of pet/coyote showdowns. There is footage of the coyote coming across the golden gate bridge, and there are coyote in the southern SF parks as well. But I guess by killing rats i'm reducing their food supply so in a sense im killing the coyotes too... hmmm.... owls kill lots of housecats too. If you own an animal and live near the woods/desert it is smart to take into account that fluffy doesn't have survival skills and just might get eaten by something.

Until they sent the female in heat to lure your dog out... then the pack eats said dog.

Happened to a coworker. Kinda crazy kinda smart.

I personally don't mind them but I have no pets.

Exact same thing to my 2014...between the air rifle, bucket of death, and regular traps I have decimated the chipmunk population.

Apparently you haven't watched them close enough. And ,yes, I do like dogs. I have 2. Out here, a damn coyote will jump a fence to get a dog.
