Damn! Rockchip happened on my way to the store. Any one know if this can be repaired? I rather not spend 800 on a new windshield :(

Check with your insurance co. I had a chip in my last Tacoma windshield and repair was covered.

That should be covered. Go through insurance. Should be free. Do it quickly before it spreads.

I had a rock chip but my insuance, unfortunately, would NOT cover it.

But, I called Safelite and they came to my work and fixed it. I think it was like $80.

I'll second sdsurfer's suggestion to take care of it before it spreads. I had a chip a few years back and kept putting off the repair, came out one morning and had a crack 1/3 way across my windshield. The $100 repair became many hundreds because I delayed.

Just know that once you put the rain x in, safelite won't be able to do much for you. I have went through my insurance twice and it's worth every penny to have them do it. Takes them like 5 mins.

yeah i just had my windshield replaced yesterday- If possible see what it would cost with insurance, if you've met your deductible it probably won't cost you a dime. I had to pay 'out of pocket' for mine cause i just got my insurance last week, but they gave me a discount anyway since safelite works with 21s century

EDIT: my bad i didn't see that you didn't have coverage on it. either way there are a ton of coupon codes for safelite- you could get it fixed through them

Just some food for thought but if I'm not mistaken there was a thread about the aftermarket (Safelite) windshields not fitting properly and having to go to the dealer for a replacement. That's a hell of a chip, it might be worth your time/money have the chip done by the pros.

So I had made the appointment before the codes. And when i called the people saying I had a coupon they said I would have had to done it at the reservation time. I was like ok I'll cancel my appointment and redo it. The guy was like fine I'll give you the discount. So instead of 10$ off I got 20 lol
