I missed my FedEx delivery due to me needing to sign for it. Of course i'm at work all day. Anyways, when redirecting my shipment I noticed FedEx has the weight listed as 20lbs. Thats over half of what they are charging for.

 

I decided to just go and buy them last night since they are still cheaper than the rest of the internet.
I was quite pissed today when I saw on the FedEx page that they are only 20 #'s.....

 

So I just recieved an email from Eric in regards to the shipping, hope this clears thing so up,

I wish companies that sent stuff requiring a signature would say that in their description. My lights are supposed to arrive next Thursday, and I saw that a signature is required. Unfortunately I am off on vacation at that time so I can't sign it or even leave a signature for the guy to deliver. I had to go and pay an extra $5 on top of the ridiculous shipping fee to have it redirected to my job and let them sign on it and sit on it for the week.

 

Open accounts (free) with UPS, USPS and FedEx. Then you can set up all kinds of customization, like being notified by email or text (or both) about packages scheduled to be delivered to your house, You can pull up packages scheduled to be delivered to your address and see everything about them, make changes, designate specific drop locations (eg. back door, inside covered porch, etc), sign electronically before it's delivered, or even set up a permanent signature release, which is what I've done. Then, even signature-required deliveries are left without a signature. It's a little less secure, and you have less protection if someone steals it from your door, but I've never had anything stolen out of thousands of deliveries of motorcycle parts (I've designed, re-engineered and built 4 motorcycles in 4 years, and I'm not just talking bolt-on parts), car parts and other things. That of course will depend on where you live.

What company? You can sign up for accounts for FedEx and UPS (free) and within the account can go and change the order to not require a signature. I've done it tons of times.

Woops just saw that @The Mad Hatta covered that lol.

 

I just had my shipment redirected to a local FedEx facility. Will pick them up on my way home from work.
