    +1 on this.

I've been plugging flats (on the rare occasions I get them) for 20+ yrs and have *never* had one fail on me. extended driving highway speeds. On my last truck, I had plugged a tire and ran another 30k on it before I swapped them all out because of low tread.

I am fucking done with these tires! 4th flat was patched and we headed out on road trip. Got my 5th flat today coming down a forest service road. None of these bumfuck mountain towns have a garage open Sunday so I'm driving 2.5 hours on the spare to next destination. Fuck it! These tires are shit!

Perhaps it's the driver, not the tires?

Sounds like you need some 10 ply tires

Nice try but no. I think I put the spare on once in my previous vehicle I owned for 11 years.
These tires are shit! I drove my wife's Ford Escape and my dads F-150 up these same mountain roads for 3-4 years before this truck. Not one flat.
If you actually push this truck, the tires are the weakest link.

Gonna just replace em all. Can no longer trust my truck in the backcountry.

Recommendations welcome! Talk to me like I'm a tard because I don't know much about tires. Just know I don't need huge ass KBRo2's. I drive a lot of city/highway so want something that performs well there just durable AF.

Yeah I'm gonna have to learn to plug then if this keeps happening. Just never dealt with flats like this where it made sense for me to do it.
I need to check out the LT tires. I do a lot of weekend driving down nasty rocky roads. Probably a good idea to upgrade!

LTs are heavier so they will impact the MPGs and the ride wont be as comfortable because the extra layers of rubber makes them stiffer, I had LTs tires on my truck and the ride was terrible for a light truck it felt like driving on cinderblocks.

Do you ride the shoulder of the road a lot of times? My wife had the same complaint til I realized she rode with the right side tires on the white line. Lots of screws and nails sitting on the should of highways and interstates.

You can get heavier ply tires but if your driving habits are causing you to pick up nails and screws it's not going to help much. Just more expensive to replace

Subbed...now I'm curious what tires these are. I'll be looking for a set of sneakers for my Taco before too long.

I changed the stock tires on my 17' dcsb or to General Grabber At2 245/75-16, not quite as strong as the KO2's but also not as heavy, no problems so far.

I'm on my third one in 6 months. Getting pretty old. I'm about to toss some ko2s on the truck.

Haha, like they are some impenetrable tire? Did you not read he doesn't want tires like that (post 27)? KO2's aren't an answer to most tire questions... If he wants good gas mileage what would you recommend he should get? I am guessing KO2's? :rofl:The kool-aid is strong with those tires!

27 miles of Colorado 4x4 trails and forest service roads yesterday on sharp granite and gniess at street pressure (i run 35psi) and no issues, other than an uncomfortable ride. the tires are good, for now
