Hello. Yesterday I changed my oil myself for the first time. Today we had some rain and with the ground wet its easy to spot oil, well i saw some by the parking spot where i just pulled into. it looked really fresh. I watched for a second didnt see anything leaking so i went inside got some cardboard and put it under the drain. went back an hour later and theres nothing on it, checked with dip stick looked fine too. could i have a leak that only leaks when im moving???

im hoping that its from somebody else who was just parked there or something!

X2. Of out of the filter when you changed it. Dont sweat it. Check the stick in the morning for a couple days, and see if the level changes.

I doubt you have a leak, BUT the simple thing you gotta do is check it once a week for the next few weeks. See if the level changes.

As long as you pulled the right plug you should be ok because it has happened here more than once that some pulled the wrong plug and drained the wrong thing............you did pull the right plug didn't you?..............

PRESTONE, BABY!! When you absolutely, positively have to keep every radiator in the room nice and cool, accept no substitutes.

Only use the Pink Toyota Long Life coolant

You have to get a gallon of it from your Toyota dealer

It comes pre-mixed 50/50 so don't mix any water with it

    Don't mix brands of coolants

Only use the Pink Toyota Long Life Coolant!

If the coolant's only a little low I usually just top off with water. Adding a cup or two to a cooling system that's 2 gal or more won't throw off your mix by too much.

Of course, it never gets much below 45F where I live, so there's no risk of freezing anything overnight....

I know I sound like I am picking nits here, but technically your coolant is SLLC or Super Long Life Coolant. The old Toyota Red coolant was the Long Life Coolant.

And Yes get the right stuff for it. I just did not want you to walk into the dealer and ask for LLC and not get SLLC that you require.

Please forgive the CDO. That is the same as OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) but the letters are in the right freakin order!!!!!

It was me, I was stalking you in Kent and dropping oil drops whenever you parked. :D You're paranoid, it's normal. Just wait till you do the ATF...

My coolant was at the bottom of the reservoir last weekend and I went down to Renton (Bob Bridge) Toyota for some Super Long Life Coolant to fill it back up. It's about $21 for a gallon. Doxon is probably pretty similar in price.
