Looking through Forge Specialties' FB page, it appears that they're building/built an LS swapped Taco from someone.

 

I gave them a call and it sounds like they split from Iron Pig about three years ago due to issues not related to pay. They both worked at Iron pig for over 5-7 years so I would say they are pretty skilled. With being a two man show, they can regulate work pretty easily but a simple job like getting a bumper built would require about a 2-3 month lead way time to get it done. Def a solid option if I lived closer.

I just got got a quote from them on re-gearing. They are not budget-priced but they seemed very customer-service oriented and since there are only two dudes working on your truck you'll get VIP treatment. However, as previously mentioned, you'll have to wait until late fall/winter to get work done. No work done yet...

 

Yea for the quote I got about doing a possible bed rack, think I will shop somewhere else. Im sure they do quality work, but I just dont know if their stuff warrants the price for me.

 

I'm still trying to get my 50 messages so I can post in the classifieds but I have a bunch of stuff including an All Pro Rack with rotopax and tool crossbars for sale. Need a Toyota OE rack, hitch, or Undercover Swing-Away tool boxes?

Not sure what you mean by hitch but I have a full hitch assembly that attaches to a rear bumper that I need to sell if you are interested. Hell yea man I'm in Alexandria so I am pretty close.

 

I've got a stock hitch too. Meant I am trying to get rid of it on top of All Pro Rack if interested.

...nevermind just saw yer build. The force is faaaarrrr stronger within your ride. You already have better stuff mounted than I will ever aspire to pay someone to install.

 

Well... It's been a fun night so far. I was feeling really weird when I went to bed. Tossed and turned for a few hours, then at midnight I started wondering if I was having a mild heart attack. Called 911 at 0130 and had the EMTs come check me out. They hooked me up to the monitor, but it didn't show anything weird. My blood pressure was through the roof though when they showed up. When they left it was back down to more normal levels. I declined a ride to the hospital for blood work.

 

It's worth checking on man. Bummer to have a scare, but if you didn't check it would likely be on your mind till you did. Glad to hear things are normal.

 

Haha thanks man it def has some direction at this point. Thanks to my pelfrey bumper that is why my hitch is going. I just need to get rid of some of this stock stuff I have lying around. How do you like the allpro?

I need to pick a doctor first. I've looked a couple times at the doctors on my insurance, but there's either no reviews or crap reviews for the dr. offices around here. Back in NM, I went to the doc every year for a physical.

 

Take those reviews with a grain of salt. When a patient has a good experience, they don't usually write reviews as often as patients who had a bad experience. People tend to complain more often than they complement. This can skew the numbers to make a doctor look like a bad guy when he might not be.

 

Honestly not trying to be a nag here, but seeing ANY doctor is better than one with no review. Hell its better to see one with a crappy review than none at all. The one with the crappy review could have been the result of a really crappy patient.

 

Did some mild wheeling with one of my buddies from orange yesterday. Had a blast riding the trails and messing around in the river. Definitely going to have to get a little bit bigger group and do a camping trip up there before summers over with. But here's a few picture from the adventures
