I haven't been on here in a couple weeks, and just saw KelticAngel is gone. Did she go and piss off one of the mods and get her account deleted?

Anyone want to meet up with a dumb Californian anytime between August 1st and 9th? Preferably at a brewery, bar, shooting range, or some where else?

Hello, I'm looking to gtfo out of Illinois, to escape the horrendous state policies and taxes and more importantly lack of wheeling and out door activities. I'm at a point in my career where a ton of doors are opened up, and despite having a nice paying job I like, I want to get off this sinking ship ASAP. The PNW is an area my wife and I have been looking at, and she has relatives up in CDA. We fell in love with up there visiting. I am going to apply for a job in Boise (I know way different than CDA, but infinately better than IL) and I have a few questions:

How are the vehicle laws in Idaho? State inspections? I have a "street legal" solid axle swapped truck, however I don't want to hit any roadblocks trying to register it.

Looking back through the thread I see alot of active members which is cool, how close is good wheeling? I currently have to drive 3hrs to the closest park and 8hrs to hit really good wheeling.

CDA is only 8 or less driving hours from Boise. Wheeling is prob less than 1hr drive time from Boise. I dont think Idaho cares about what axles you have they just want their cut of taxes/transfer fees etc...I think ADA county has a vehicle pollution sticker but Im not positive. I lived in Elmore county which did not. Still lots of hunting and fishing etc stuff down south. Plus ski resorts close if thats your thing as well in the winter.

That's cool, I have to get my truck emissions tested here so its not that big of a deal. I just want to make sure there isn't some sort of goofy safety inspection.

I dont think they do...you could call up the DMV in Boise just to verify but mostly its just transfer fees etc. I do know tag/license plates are 2/3'rds cheaper than Washington state...Boise is "high desert" but still lots to see and do relatively close by. If you want some rock crawling head to MOAB...Boise is prob still the fastest growing city/metropolis in the state. With that comes crime/drugs etc but thats everywhere. Politics are much better than Illinois for sure...you can even open carry here as well as Concealed without a card. but its helpful to have a concealed carry license for purchases :)

Pics from a couple weeks ago in the Valley, just a short drive from the house. Pics are from north of Ketchum to Stanley Lake Met up with n0rth and his co-pilot Norton for a day or 2 and took a drive and hung out. As usual with him it was an incredible day ride and got to see miles and miles of new trails.
Generally we are out here a few times a month for day trips and camping until the snow flies and impassable.

What area would you be looking for meeting? I am north of Spokane which makes Boise area not conducive.
