Got ?'s before installing my lift

So my 5100's should be arriving before the weekend. Hope to do the install over the weekend. What I will be doing is 5100's on all 4 and setting the fronts at 1.75 and from what I hear is that the rear billies will give me a 1" in the rear. Then she’s gonna also get a new pair of shoes, 265/70-17 on my stock sport rims. Now what my question is that my 07 does not qualify for the TSB. Been to two dealers in the area and they both load tested it. I have a 3 pack in the rear now. With all this said, with the fronts set at 1.75 in the front and the extra 1" I am supposed to gain in the rear, will I need to do anything else to the rear of the truck like aal(what size) or blocks? Please feel free to visit my pic’s. I don’t want to come up short on parts if I need something in the rear. Im sure someone has had this issue and wondering if they could give me some feedback. (and fast just incase I have to order to get by weekend) Thanks a lot and will post some pic’s if all comes out right.

 

You will need an AAL. You can do a block but a lot of people do not like them. I have one on the rear of mine and has been good so far.

 

So I guess I should just plan on getting a aal and having it on standby if I need it.

 

Really I just want it to level it out.

 

Who makes/sells these??

 

If you are trying to just level your truck out then you dont need to lift the rear at all.

 

Well what I ment to say is level it out with the 1.75 that im going to set the front at.

 

Like Jhodge said, measure the front and rear, see what the difference is. If I remember correctly you need to lift the front 2" to level it out. I could be wrong.

 

You are doing exactly what i am planing on doing. Great question. Just leveling it out.

 

I was going to go to the 2.5" setting, but was reading on here that is is more of a rough ride. Most seem to set at 1.75. So I will get my aal ordered first thing in the morning. Thanks Jhodge83 for the link and thanks to the rest for your input

 

Two questions: I will also be installing front only 5100's soon...how do you
measure the rake?

Secondly, I have read about guys doing a 1.75 lift on the front and having it
level the truck and the same with the .85 setting, once again with doing the
front only without any modification to the rear at all. Would the decision then be based on the rake for your individual truck, as they are all somewhat different? I am trying to arrive at some sort of consensus....
