Hello - I have a 2016 Sport and would like to remove this entire insert:

Does it just pry out or is there some magic trick? Thanks!

Thanks! It looks like it is in there pretty tight - any special tool that you would recommend? Again, don't want to booger up my new truck!

I have a cheap set of plastic dash removal tools that I used, don't know if a screwdriver would scratch the dash. Probably would, lots of people here say the dash scratches very easily

Thanks, Boynoyce - Already ordered from HD... Same price, but Amazon could have gotten it to me a little quicker... That's what I get for jumping the gun!

You can also just remove the 4 dash bolts and pop that whole dash section out and you can remove the 2 screws holding the cubby in. Way easier then trying to pull that small section out and you wont break anything. Then you can access anything in that whole dash section!

Now that i think about it there are only 3. Look on the bottom edge of the dash you can see two of them, the other one you take the kick panel off and its inside of the kick panel. Then just pull out on the dash there are a bunch of pull clips dont worry they wont break!

That's what I did. Way easier. I never managed to pull it out without doing that.

I've popped mine out with just putting my fingers in the cubby, backs of hands together, applying firm pressure to the sides, and giving a little yank. It's a little stubborn, but it pops out.

Hello All - Finally got my tools that I ordered from Home Depot (Capri Tools) and it took me about 2 minutes to pry out the entire insert - Piece of cake! Just take it slow and pry from several points and it popped right out - no damage!. Thank you everyone for your input! Now on to my weekend project... I will be installing a dimmer for my 2 light bars with a small on/off switch and a little blue power LED. Thanks again! Jeff
