Apparently just searching around, the Scangauge II is superior to UG. Just purchased now when I said I was holding off....:bananadead:

It is. I have one in each vehicle and have had for a number of years.

My '04 doesn't have a trans sensor, so I typcially display instant MPG, avg MPG, Voltage and coolant temp.

I did set up the X guage for the '13 and it does the trans temp just fine.

    $98 is a great deal.

    This is Caca de toro.

I try to post an Amazon item to make it go down in price and nothing happens.

Then OP shows up and does it

Thus is a good deal for a new unit.

I honestly prefer the UltraGauge blu. Customizable gauges and screens. And no wire to run

Argh, I can't cancel and reorder. Its already on "Preparing Shipment". I'd be saving $2. I already cancelled and reorder once.

Not really, I'll just return the unit I got and order another one. Too bad Amazon don't price check their own prices, it save me the hassle and shipping cost for them.

I'm gettin' in on this! Shes been on my list since my UG malfunctioned, and the inspection process that UG performed on the unit to trouble shoot the problem also at the same time ended up destroying the UG.

And there i was holding the bag.

Nope. Heres a snippet from the lengthy support ticket:

UG - "Inspecting closer we found some substance seems to have entered in from the Light sensor port on the front. The port was essentially blocked and the sensor below it covered in this substance. Normally the LCD and PCB are soldered together at two points, but the LCD and PCB can still be separated somewhat. In the case of your unit, they are stuck together, as if glued. We have yet to pry them apart, as further damage will likely occur, but it appears that some substance has flowed between the LCD and PCB and has rotted one of the PCB traces on the back of the PCB. The trace is open and is why the receiver fails.

Do you have any idea what this substance is? It could be a weak acid, maybe a drink such as Coke which contain carbonic acid."

and later...after my reply which basically said "i don't drink soda, and am unaware of any spillage"...

UG - "We removed the LCD from the PCB and sure enough the trace in question is rotted at one point.

Such damage voids the warranty. Unfortunately, we no longer offer repair...though we would not recommend repairing this unit as there is likely additional damage and its just not worth the time it would take to repair it all."
