    Hello TW,
Ive been a member for abut two months, mainly because Ive only had my truck for two months and 1 day. Anyways I need your guys's help answering a question. The day I purchased my taco was the happiest day of my life, but it only lasted about a day. First I noticed the so called "axle wrap" and spent like two weeks trying to figure out how to fix it . I had my tranny serviced and poof axle wrap is gone, but truck starts shifting weird and my brakes start feeling spungy and like they travel too far before catching on. Then i realized i had the timing cover leak and dished out $1200 to fix it. The tranny's shifting only got worse so I decided to have the dealer check it out again, they said it was fine. I went to a transmission specialist and had him check it out, he said he thought it was slipping a little and persued to drive the crap out of my truck, really i mean this guy drove the crap out of my truck, and for whatever reason that helped. Still unsatisfied, I went to aamco and it turns out the manager had the same truck as me with the same issues and all their tests showed my truck is fine, is it really normal for these trucks to drive like this? Am I just and idiot? It's just that no other truck I have driven before drives so damn hard, and has such crappy brakes. Any advice?

Without being able to feel how your truck is driving, I cant confirm, or deny wether or not your an idiot.

Maybe the previous owner just dawged the hell out of it and never serviced it. How many miles does it have?

J/K. I hope mine doesn't have all these issues, but 35K and all seems well so far.

uh... well... your title is "Am I and idiot" instead of "Am I an idiot" ....

But aside from that, Chris is right. My brakes are a bit soft too, but I can live with that.

Still trying to figure out what an axle wrap is (even though I've read about it). Hope I never get it though!

Don't forget, there are your (possessive pronoun) and you're (contraction). Can't help it, it's the teacher in me. Butt then again I tend to forget how to spell things rite sometimes. By the way, I'm not an English teacher.

Get some SS brake lines, it'll help with the spongy brakes, just remember to bleed the lines. Axle wrap, check the springs, make sure there secured correctly, possible bad leaf or loose ubolts. Or maybe they put your leafs on backwards.

Truck has 83k. Sorry about the spelling, usually type really fast and dont check myself, funny thing is my spelling is really good when i hand write, weird. Funny though, today is a warm day out and my truck runs a lot smoother. By warm i mean 82f. The brakes even feel better. I've been taking sleeping pills so it's not the sleep deprevation. Man i wish chris 4x4 was my neighbor, Im gonna ask santa for that this christman. Jk. Seriously though chris is awesome.
