It is when you get them within a baseball season but I prefer within a NFL season at least.

I've always used acetone. Rubbing alcohol has a lot of water in it unless you buy the 99% alcohol.

Don't forget utilities. Shit adds up quick. My bills were about half my pay. I got pretty good at one check a month for life because the other went to bills.

Who would let you use their truck? Cash grass or ass? :jerkoff:

I know you have a Tacoma. Good looking bumper! I expect installed pics by tomorrow.

Do it! Good luck getting it converted though. Plan a route of back streets, dirt tires on the highway is sketchy.

Yeah good luck getting it registered for the street in Cali. Other states is easy but Cali is a bitch. Knobbies on the street is sketchy as fuck. No grip what so ever. Increase your stopping distance by 10. You lock them up and they just slide.

I was including utilities in the rent portion haha. That's easily an extra 200 bucks a month on top of rent. Hoping with a job change I can get an extra few thousand dollars per year.
Ya. My dad had been talking about it forever. Thinking about trying to do it in Arizona

At work they recently stopped using acetone to prep for paint. The fabrication guys were saying it leaves some sort of residue that won't let the paint properly stick. They say denatured alcohol would be best. Although you'll probably bang/scrape the paint off before it even has a chance to fall off due to the small trace amounts of residue.

Seriously. As a kid I used to rip my dirt bike up and down the street and all was fine, but actually riding on the road with knobbies is totally different. Sucks when you're in that not so seeet spot where the light turns yellow and have to brake fast to stop for the red.

South Dakota plate. You'll never get a ca plate on that bike. Wr450 is about the only bike you can convert over and get a ca plate

You won't be able to register it period in CA.... unless it's super old.

AZ is another story. I just plated my wr450 over there no problems at all.

You don't even need to bring the bike over there, just the title. I would go through a third party dmv like "footeworks" . You just get the new az title right there and plate on the spot for like $35... BUT you have to have some kind of AZ motorcycle insurance that will insure you there as well as in other states. You'll get hassled in CA though if you don't meet the on road requirements though and most likely ticketed.

Requirements would be hi/lo headlight, horn wired to battery or ignition, DOT tires, turn signals front and rear, L plate, mirror, brake light...

But I don't run most of that... but I also don't ride on the street often here around town. Mostly just on dual sport mountain trips :D

Can't even convert newer bikes in CA unless they come from the factory with a plate and the paperwork that says they aren't a strictly off highway vehicle. Think there's another way with the mileage also
