Northern Virginia Roll Call

The one i had was similar from antenna-x but it would bend back while driving. Once when i left work there was a praying mantis on the tip of the antenna, and he hung on for about half the trip befpre letting go.
I also noticed bad reception. When i tried to take the old one off it had rusted out cause it allowed water around the threads. Ended up having to drill out the antenna mast and replace all the way to the radio. My new antsnna is sealed with a bead of clear silicone to keep it watertight. Its more oem style but shorter

 

Which one did you have?

 

Made a bracket at work last night now to lay it out for the switch pro, terminal block and grounding block. Couple layers of paint and install.

I had the eurostyle one from antenna x. Thats the one that allowed the water and eventually rust in.

Saw the video, I had those at one time but I liked the old stock look.

I have these installed on my radio and it makes the knobs easier to grab and turn. Way better than those stock nubs.

Yeah, the community couldnt get a fire and rescue squad on site for the show i think is what i heard. All the other areas around booked them first.

 

sounds like some piss poor planning on ashburns part.
