For those that traded up, what values did you get from dealers on your 2nd gen? I've found my 2011 TRD OR has a really good value still. I'd love find out what year/mileage/package/condition you have/had and what values the dealers are dishing out. I've searched true car and car guru but there doesn't seem to be a list to base off of.

    Thanks!

Do you need to know, or care?
Totally loaded question and subject to opinion, location, condition, timing, ECT, ECT, ECT. Million factors here, but I'll bite.

Keep in mind, I'm in Canada, so do the conversion.

I traded a '13 Limited in for a '16 Limited. Dealer gave me 32k, but keep in mind our tax on new vehicles is 12%. We don't pay taxes on trade-in savings. So in theory, trade in value for me on new purchase was around 36k. The '13 was originally bought for 42k. Low mileage at trade in, 25,000kms, or about 15,000 miles. Not mint shape, only a couple very minor scratches, but as near to new as one would expect.

New truck bought MSRP, as negotiation was entirely on trade-in.

For reference, dealer had old truck listed at $37,000. Highly doubt they got full price but IDK.

I got $8k for my 06 SR5. 185k miles, decent shape. The amount was spot on with KBB and I felt good about it. They overlooked the oil leak from the timing cover...

I got 7500 for my 06 sport 4x4 with 243,000 miles on it. My first offer for it from the dealer was 5000 and I told them we cant make a deal on the 2017 OR. The salesman then went to get his manager and they said hold tight and they came back 10 minutes later and offered me another 2500 for it. I took it and never looked back.
