Anyone not put a steel bumper on and running 35's? If you could, please post some pictures and any tips where I can get started. I'm all good with cutting up the body, if that is what is needed. I'm guessing a CMC will need to be done. Still unsure of what I am going to do suspension wise.

If you feel this is a stupid idea to keep the stock bumper, please by all means let me know. I like the C4 Fab bumper anyway. I just like the look of the front end and am looking for an alternative. This is totally unchartered territory for me.

well this is at least a new one since its usually what do I need to do to fit 33 KO2s lol.
From what I've seen on here there are some with OEM bumper still and 35s but requires lots of trimming. And if you think CMC is all you need keep thinking. Everything thread I've read on it you need to beat the pinch weld out of the way as well.

Both me and @90yota both had stock bumpers and 35's. We both have build threads too. Oh we both had trimmed flares and trimmed bumpers too.

Wait. @Diablo169 also has 35's and stock bumper. More lift but same idea. BROcoma build thread.

Check those three threads. Lots of pics.

Your best bet is to fully box in the cab mount, as well as hammer the pinch weld, and likely trim the fenders.

I rub the top of the inner fender too. You'll find out when you stuff it. What @erok81 said. Check out the build page. Tons of pictures and yes I still rub in plenty of places

Thank you all for the feedback. I'll check out those threads and see if I have more questions. I'm sure there is more to it than I know of but I was at a cross road and figured TW would do what it does best and show me the light. Thanks again all. Let's see how this goes

You still leave the bottom hole open so you can access the mount. You can't tell that from the picture.

I don't know about second gens but hacking the cab mount like that isn't really going to help. All you do is move the rubbing from the cab mount to the body.

If you really want to clear them (mine don't rub enough to consider this, although I did at one point) is to move the body mount back a couple inches and tub the wheel well.
