    I went from a 1992 4x4 3.0 to a new 2017 4x4 with a manual 6-speed transmission. Wow! When did the Tupperware Company start making Toyota’s trucks?....talk about buyer's regrets.

So, you didn't look at the truck or drive it before you bought it?
I can't imagine you just realized this today.

Unfortunately it's not a toyota thing. Name a single car company that uses more metal than plastic.

Still, I find it questionable that you would think there would be few changes over a nearly 30 year time span that didn't warrant a thorough test drive and investigation. Nirvana was the biggest band in the world when you bought your truck!

What did you expect, a full metal plated interior?

At least this is good plastic. you should see how F150s and Chevys interiors feel. Straight from china and about to break in an instant.

OP is right, the 3.0 was the best engine Toyota ever made.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Toyota made a brand new "old" truck that had the build quality of an old Hilux or T100 with very little plastic? It would probably cost 65k but it would be badass!

So many of these types of problems would be avoided if dealers would just let people look at, feel, sit in, and maybe even test drive vehicles before allowing folks to buy them...

Its got a plastic bed too in case you didnt notice that when you bought is as well. How do you think car companies will meet epa MPG standards if they keep making everything steel?
