Oh wow that is shitty! Hopefully new seals will take care of that. That noise would drive me nuts.

Actually when I put the AVS windvisors on the doors I think I got more noise but I have written it off and my stereo turns up enough that it doesn't bother me that much...

Same here... and my windshield is very quiet. Downside is that it's brittle as hell and will crack and scratch if you breathe on it too hard...

Fixed it with no help from the dealer, 1/2" hose behind the top seal and no more noise

Pretty sure the TSB code was written on the itemized receipt from my 30k mile service yesterday. I'll check again tomorrow.

After living with this annoying vibrating reed noise at the top of the front door seals every time I drive into/against a cross wind for 18 mos/25,000 mi. I decided to fix this myself.
Toyo has yet to extend their TSB for 2014/15 for the same issue on 2016s. ( sounds like 2107 do the same ). It was a 5 min. fix and cost $3.50.
If you look at the front door seals along the top and roll them away from the door just a bit you'll see a big gap behind them.
Run down to your favorite hardware store and find some 3/8 or 1/2" round tubular closed cell weather striping with the adhesive tape attached.
Cut a piece long enough to run from the top rear corner were the existing door seal is glued to the door frame down to about even with the mirror.
Peel off about 6" of the adhesive tape cover and fit the new seal into the channel behind the door seal allowing the glue edge to stick to the door frame.
Work your way down the door 4 to 6" at a time until done. This eliminated all door squealing for me and has no door leaks. Easy fix.

The dealership realized that the new doors for replacement came with different weather strips. So they ordered new weatherstrips for mine. Solved the problem. Havent heard it since. Theres not a tsb out for it, but the weatherstrips for the doors manufactured as of now fix the problem. Didnt pay a dime. Mine was awful, and they know how picky i am about my truck. I actually bought double of the nylon plugs for the LCA's because i was also having the bottle noise coming from down there. Dropped em off, they crawled under my truck, saw where i put them and just started putting them on all their tacomas as they arrived on the lot.

I believe it. I plugged mine over a year ago, from a thread on here. I don't doubt they fixed it in factory

Nice, as much as people bash other brands here, my parents have a 2017 Sierra and man that is a really nice truck. Kind of odd too how that V8 on an even heavier truck is pulling nearly identical mpg's to the Tacoma lol.

Yeah I liked the taco but between the issues, the dealer not wanting to fix anything, needing more space and finding out the wife is pregnant.....it was time for something with more space. It drives great and no more gear hunting lol

There's now a tsb for this. I took mine in and they replaced both front driver and passenger side door seals. Under warranty. They're identical to the originals but have a black bead glued into the channel on the top front angled portion of the seals. No more kazoo noise. This fixed the problem.

Would you be able to provide the TSB number?
