It's not the "fine print", is the description of the product.

Haha we've all done that. But at least now you get to customize it and it'll feel more like your own! Good luck with it!

I Have the short bed tall height but apparently it's the "old" version and a lot (if not all) of the new add ons are specifically designed for the new version.
It sucks that I spent all this money on this rack thinking that I would be able to buy ready to bolt accessories and the first one I buy doesn't fit. Now I gotta go find someone with a plasma cutter to extend the notches. Oh well, the price got pay for buying from small up and coming shops, lots of changes to their products as they perfect them.

Are you running a long bed model on a short bed truck? If so how is the rear mounted?

There's no reason to extend the slots. Just drill two holes and mount the bracket.

Ordered a short bed mid height rack on Sunday can't wait till it gets here! @KB Voodoo are there any plans to make a cross bar to use with the rack and tonneau brackets so you can put a basket under the rack?

Would the long bed version work on a 2015 short bed?

No need to go premium unless you're putting it on a Tundra or another brand of truck.

The big difference with the premium rack, is that the width is adjustable, so the Tacoma specific rack it all you really need.
