    Afternoon all:
Just got back from taking a ride in the 66, got about 2-2 1/2 miles from Beltzville lake and turned around, that's how far the traffic was backed up at 1:00.
Apparently the park was at capacity and they closed the boat launch and the picnic and swimming area. I got news for those people that were near the end of that line with boats, IT'S GOING TO BE AWHILE, LOTS OF LUCK EVEN GETTING THE BOAT ON THE WATER TODAY!

Happy 4th to the generation after the greatest generation.

Man that sucks, probably wouldn't be much fun once you got on the lake.

Ouch Carl, 2 1/2 mile back up:facepalm:. A little rough to sit in that traffic on the 4th. Hope you at least enjoyed the rest of the ride.

Head scratch.jpg Childhood.jpg Can you relate???

Have a good 4th Andy. Enjoy

Hi ken. Not working today so :woot: Got a nap in and now it's time to go play in the yard... Going to take some pics of my yard, so I'll have some before and after shots. Although I've already started ripping out the Azaleas (were overgrown and covered in vines). Plus I want to take pics of my trees, so I can decide which branches to take down. How's your day going?

So far very good. Went to a local flea market this morning for a couple of hours, then came home and relaxed and now getting ready to go out for a bite to eat with some friends. You be safe and have a good day/night.

There's one other thing, the swimming area will probably be closed for awhile after today, loaded with bacteria after all the people pee and poop in the water and it takes awhile for it to dissipate ! That happens just about every time at that lake after a national holiday that draws hoards of people :puke:!
The locals know enough to stay away from the boat launch, the swimming area, and the picnic area on holidays, the city slickers haven't figured that out yet!
WELL, actually some have, if you get there between 2 and 3:00 AM, you will be OK!

Would have enjoyed riding in the '66 with you, except for the traffic.

Never did go to the lake, I hit the back of the line just before a boat dealer that I go to, waited about 5 min., moved a little bit, pulled around about 4-5 cars into his lot, got a coke, and went back the other way and continued on my way without encountering any other heavy traffic.

You're posting in the correct thread in that case!

One of our neighbors has been celebrating the holiday with fireworks for the past 3 nights. Not excessive, but kinda late for us early risers nearby. I'm not complaining, but I'm not looking forward to tonight's finale either. I'm working in the morning!

Speaking of working in the morning, I was planning to head to NJ this week. No big deal right? Wrong! The reason I can even consider doing it is because my wife is no longer trapped in that godawful clamshell back brace. :woot: She still has to wear a brace, but it's much less constricting, she can put it on and off herself, and she can drive a car while wearing it. :woot: :woot: We got to see the original X-rays last week at the orthopod's office. Wow. She has a vertebra that had a crack all the way through, from edge to edge. The fact that we're both looking back on the whole thing is another blessing I need to count.

I feel for the pups Sue, my Grandson Angus (Grand daughters pup) doesn't like loud noise either. The last thunder storm, he pooped in the house twice....it literally scared the poop out of him.
