    You.Are.A.GENIUS!

Gf and I are looking for a little trip during our 2 weeks off this summer. And I was planning to sleep in motels, but now... I proposed her to sleep one night on a camping ground and she said she is open to the idea! :woot:

    Yes!! That's amazing.

So the website isn't working properly at work, but I suspect it's my browser. This may work!

    http://www.cameroncountyparks.com/adolph-thomae-park

There's also this which is closer, but you've got to carry your stuff 3/4 mile so she may not be too fond.

Yessss!!!! It's so much fun. My wife absolutely loves it, because I'm not sure how well she'd do with more primitive stuff.

Lol mine would rely 100% on me haha except for the dog, she would take care of the dog lol! She told me a few months ago that she is open to a trip a little more "primitive" as you said. Be saying and doing is not the same haha! But I expect that she says yes when I'll ask her to go. When we wikk be there, even if she cries, she will have to go through the whole week end hahaha

If you don't already have gear, Amazon is the best! 3 person coleman sundome can fit a queen air mattress, and then all you need is a cooler and camping stove!

So it was just for my wife and I, but I got a lot of meat to eat over the next few days. I got 5 spicy italian sausages, 10 hot dogs, and four 93/7 patties and two 80/20 half pound patties. I wanted to get multiple styles to see what I preferred to grill.

So I got the grill fired up, and got it hot as shit. After a quick Google search, I saw to get it hot enough to only be able to hold your hand over for a second. Threw on the two half pound 80/20 patties, and 5 hot dogs and three sausages. Got it all grilled up and looking good, and my wife cut into her burger pattie and it was just straight blood. These things were severly undercooked. I just tossed them (already had cheese on them and didn't want to try and cook them more) and threw on a couple 93/7 patties (much thinner). Got those cooked up, and overcooked them a tiny bit, and didn't use enough seasoning. Not bad but not very good. The hot dogs and sausages were great though!! I've got more hot dogs, sausages and burgers, so I'll grill them up on Thursday night and try again.

I know Amazon is awesome! But I have pretty much all I need lol it's been a while since I bought an air matress since they don't last long enough and I hate waking up in the middle of the night because my hip touch the ground... so I got a mini matress that is, imo, more comfortable than an air matress and also I bought this year a camp bed because I am tires of sleeping on the ground. Both for a single perso, but I would be glad to let my gf sleep on the camp bed and me on the ground on the matress, just so she have a great experience and want to do it again!

Everything cooking related is already in my garage, asking ti be use lol and for the coolers, I am waiting, if it is at my door in 2 weeks I will share the story, if not, I will share the story with a good advice! Haha (don't ask more:wink:)

Hmmm, you have peaked my interest! I will patiently wait though. Hopefully she likes it! Camping is a great way to get away from it all.

I know! I went on a 4 days fishing trip 2 weeks ago, no power, no cellphone reception, no radio. Only friends, water and Walleye! Perfect place to get away and come back all refreshed!

And this would be why I'm investigating the idea of a small camper like a tear drop. You can keep it packed then just throw your clothes and food in hook up and go. At this stage in life it's just my wife and I and this offfers cheap weekend escapes after the initial exspense. This could even be used at places like Rousch just drop the camper and hit the trails. After 17 years or so of being Girl Scout troop leaders we have alot of camping equipment but I'm pretty much done with tents and sleeping on the ground I did enough of that for Uncle Sam
