2nd gen factory fogs and options..

Not sure about this one, but are the factory fogs left/right specific? I've heard probably not but not sure.

My right is taking on a little water, so maybe I'll just replace with a better set. What are some options for the stock location that don't require custom cutting?

 

TRS Morimoto LEDs are the favorite. You could also swap in 9155 55w bulbs for a 50% improvement over stock.

Also yes, they are side specific.

If you replace with OEM, third gen trucks use the same fog housings. The only difference is the bezels.

 

I wonder if you could swap the 55w h11 bezels from a 3rd gen to run higher power h11s vs the weak h10s, since the 3rd gen trucks take both.

Still side specific, but unfortunately the third gen housings are only compatible with 2012-2015 second gens.

 

Would be a cheapish experiment. Third gen housings are still $60-80 shipped private party.
