Mine has both recalls guess the earlybird catches the crap not the worm.
Build date 9/15 made in Texas USA took delivery 11/15,guess I'll be getting those notices even though differential is nice and dry I look everyday just incase. It does stall at speeds

If you're stalling get that puppy in there ASAP for the CPS... or if you're afraid of them keeping your truck forever for the diff, just buy the CPS yourself. 10 min job and your stalling will (most likely) be solved

How was/is your gas mileage..?? I think if the CPS is bad, you will have the lower MPG's..... Mine are great...

    What is yours..??

So I just got off the phone with the Toyota helpline and they told me if I bought and replaced the CPS myself then I could be reimbursed for the cost of the part. Has anyone done this yet?

By law if a part is recalled and you purchase the genuine OEM part and install yourself I believe they have to re-imburse you. I was not on the (initial) recall list but hanging onto my receipts. I'd be shocked if my VIN isn't added given the impact replacement had on performance / MPGs....

Yeah that's why I called Toyota directly. The local dealerships were giving me the run-around saying they wouldn't/shouldn't/couldn't. I'll definitely be keeping all my paperwork.

Dealer wouldn't even take my truck for this recall yet, only the rear differential. Not a huge deal since I haven't experienced any issues regarding it. Better than Toyota jail, I suppose.

It is on the NHTSA website that you are supposed to be reimbursed as long as you can show proof of purchase. I am taking my truck to the dealership tomorrow for its 20k service and bringing in the CPS I replaced. I will be asking them how I get my $$. I'll update tomorrow.

Fortunately for me, I was parked talking on the phone when my CPS went. I was able to limp it to the dealership with it dieing one more time. Let it sit for 30 minutes and made it into the service area where it again died. Told them what I read on the forums...low and behold it was the CPS. That probably happened 6 months ago. Dangerous...the truck goes into limp mode...coasted off the roadway. They replaced the CPS with a different part number...trust me...Toyota knew!

Can you post a link to the NHTSA page that describes the reimbursement? I don't see it.
