    Status Update 7/5:
    - working on order fulfillment for all orders
    - ROM licensing structure enabled and embedded for tune files
    - AT / MT engine ROM dissection complete

    MT specific:
    - torque maps for throttle control are significantly easier than the automatic. We have all base torque for throttle control maps defined, done.
*we may be looking to get a MT on the dyno as well just for some additional stuff*

    thanks everyone

Did you seriously work on this yesterday? I don't even have my kit yet and I have to thank you for your dedication to making this happen as fast as possible. Once the tidal wave recedes you should be up for another vacation!

Curious what will happen if you used 87 instead of 91 octane?

Someone earlier in the thread with an MT said they were just up the road from OV and I suggested they reach out. I don't remember who it was and I'm too lazy to read back through all the nonsense to look for it.

I'd be interested in an 87 specific map, even if the gains aren't nearly as high. Be nice to smooth out the throttle maps and have access to the full power at lower RPM. The low RPM sudden loss of engine braking sucks too, especially with the AC on.

What I don't want is to be tied to 91 rated fuel, as it would cost a minimum of $600 more per year and $5000 over an 8 year ownership. Plus, its sometimes hard to find in rural Iowa or in the mountain states.

You noticed that too eh? It surprised me the first time it happened. I thought something was wrong with my truck. It is odd that it doesn't happen every time the AC kicks in and I have not found any pattern to it.

I figure it at $36 monthly, $432 annually, and $3,456 over an 8 year period. If you put 18 gallons in your tank every 3 days (my fill-up frequency) and 91 costs $0.20 more per gallon than 87 octane.

Up here in canuckistan, 91 costs $0.68/gallon and 93/94 is $0.79/gallon more than 87... 20 cents is chump change. that's like 3 bucks a tank. (please note our 91+ has no ethanol in it, which is usually cut into your 91/93). At costco gas, it is only $0.26/gallon more, but there is always a huge line unless you go early morning...

It's $0.50-$0.60 more per gallon here. That said, I'd be down for an 87 octane tune.

Yeah, $0.20 would be OK. Its $0.60/gallon more here.

Right? If I fill up more than once a week it's because I'm driving somewhere two states away.
