    I've always loved black Tacos ever since I saw Back to the Future and Marty's dream truck. While I'm not going to go full BTTF with my truck, I would like to find the amber/red headlight/tail lights.

    So far I can't find them, but you guys are far more knowledgeable as I'm only a 1 week owner!

    Any ideas?

    Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.
    I'd just drive it for a couple months before I did anything you might regret blowing money on later.

    As far as I know, there is only 1 set in existence, and they are on that truck. I am working on a set that will be very similar(with a few minor changes).

    Could you use a limited/pro tail light with a clear outer lens and paint the inside the same color scheme as BTTF tail. Then you can do a thin black pinstripe on the other part of the lens so you don't see the tape line. The lighting would be way off but you can pull off a cleaner look at the Toyota Remake Version.

    hmmm I am not sure how that would look. (100% clear outter lens, with the colors on the inside.)
    First problem I see is how to filter the light color...custom designed panels would need to be fabricated to block off the reverse, turn and brake.
    I have the cut open tails sitting here on my desk, just brainstorming so these are executed perfectly.
    I am still leaning towards this idea;

    I'm shocked the aftermarket hasn't came out with these in two years.

    I hope you can do it!

    Unfortunately, the only aftermarket tails available were removed from the starship enterprise

    Holy thread revival, I know. Buuut I’m looking to do an 80s retro build on my 3rd gen and was wondering if there’s any hope whatsoever of these tail lights being finished, or if anyone has found alternatives?
