    ^ I love how you designed the rack to fit the Kayaks and the bikes...exactly what I intend to haul around!

    Did you also design it to work with a tonneau (such as the OEM tonneau)?

    Four kayaks, two 10 ft. and two 12 ft. long...just let em hang out the back of a short bed. Use climbing rope to secure them at the end and at the back of the bed (near the rear window). I usually also throw an NRS cam strap over the top to keep em from bouncing too much. Works great, simple, no extra racks needed (not much room for gear though...we can get three yaks, gear, and three people in the truck for overnight trips though....this was just a day trip).

    These are Yakima carriers.
    Underneath I reinforced the brackets with common shelf brackets.
    A little silicone and never a leak.
