What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

No off-roading for me but that's quite impressive, especially since they're under $300 shipped on Amazon!

 

Finally had a chance to try out my Black Oak LED light bar on the back roads on the way back from the fireworks last night in Fontana. Gotta say I'm very impressed with Black Oak. The pic really doesn't show how bright it really is.

 

Currently waiting while the muffler shop installs a 40 series flowmaster w/ black tips! Will do a video (with good audio!)

 

one of the first things i did to mine. However after 6 months both bulbs went out at same time. Luckily I live close to atlanta and went to The Retrofit Source and they check all my components. Turned out it was the bulbs. They were highly surprised because the bulbs looked fine. But great customer service. Nice job!

I started to order duals but ended up ordering single side out. I was worried it would sound double tinny. Hopefully yours will change that thought. Still going to install my single catback when it arrives but very anxious to hear yours.

 

Made a box to put some gear, tools, straps, etc. It is held onto the front rail with 1/4 inch bolts.

And, since I have the G4 elite with the locking front portion of the cover, I didnt have to put a lid on the box. I just have to shut the cover and lock it and my stuff is secure. Plus, I installed the Pop-n-lock a while ago.

 

I recently purchased and installed a Truxedo Truxport tonneau cover for my 16 short bed. The price was great, and the install was relatively simple. What I've discovered, though, is that I can't latch the cover with the tailgate closed. As hard as I try, it just will not latch. I wonder if I lined something up incorrectly, and I'm hoping some of you folks that are far more intelligent than I am can help me out with what to look for! Thanks!!

 

Well, the flowmaster 40 sounds nice and grumbly! I am coming from a '13 corolla with a Borla Pro XS, which sounded deep for a 4 cylinder. But I'm going to have to get used to it, but it sounds like a freakin' TRUCK now! Video soon.

 

Hook up a trailer, loaded it up with old trex decking (3080lbs of decking and trailer), averaged 16.3 mpg and pulled it with ease.

Got some nice mpg on my way to work today! 87 octane shell gas.

 

I'm still on a new Tacoma around 120 miles and it seems like my MPG hasn't leveled out yet. Still getting around 16-17mpg. Did it take a while for it to start getting the right mileage?

The Truxedos are designed to be latched with the tailgate open. Then close the tailgate afterwards. I’ve had both the Truxedo Truxport and Truxedo LoPro covers on my trucks. LoPro on my 17 ACLB now.
