The plastic grille and bed I can deal with. But the bumpers? Man they are flimsy.

Every manufacturer has plastic bumpers and grilles now for obvious reasons, To save weight and to comply with regulations related to pedestrian safety.

Sounds like u havnt bought a vehicle since the early 90s

I will take my Tacoma over any Gm or Ford product. I know I will have resale value after 3 years.

Yeah...all the people complaining about 3rd gen problems, I don't hear them complaining about getting all their money back if they dumped it because of the great resale value.

Not trying to stick up for Toyota but people that buy a 1st year, completely re designed truck from the ground up and then cant believe there are some issues are living in a fucking dream world. If you want a truck where all the issues are worked out you dont buy the first year re design, you buy the last year or two.

People on here talking about "Well my 1985 pickup never had these issues" ........well no crap. I never had the issues with a rotary dial phone that I do with my Iphone either....... Cars are so much more complex issues are just expected imo

The steel bed in my 2004 Tundra rusted through I doubt I'll have that problem now!

Hmmmm. So you bought off the interwebz, browsing photos, and you thought all that mono chromatic stuff was steel sculpted by Chip Foose?

Yea, well the trend started several decades ago for some models. And it's not a plastic bumper. It's a bumper cover. Covering the structural part that's underneath.

Hey, you're probably right. Here's for you this fine holiday..........low 4 baby.

If anyone is ever involved in a major collision, you'll be glad these vehicles crumple so easily

Yeah, your truck is totaled, but you have such a greater chance of walking away without major injury

Well, maybe you’re right. I have a 1961 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite, my old truck was a 1992 Toyota AND..I still have a flip phone.
