What I'm trying to say is I didn't get any brackets that attach under the hood, the actual brackets. All I got was the swivel metal bracket. Was I suppose to purchase them separately for the $55 on your website or did they come with my kit and you guys missed them? I ordered the 27w SP pods kit for 2nd gen. I got a single box with my 27w SP pods, small swivel metal brackets, and the wiring harness inside. I did not receive the actual metal brackets that bolt up under the hood. Also the picture on the website shows black swivel brackets, I got silver. Is there anyway to get black, I was just expecting to get what was in the picture. Also the box was wrapped tight in plastic but the box was deformed beyond belief just to let you know. Thanks -Austin

Send us a pm with your order #. If you ordered from the group buy with the code you should have received ditch brackets. We will get you taken care of.

Same here. Anyone know which wires to splice together to have the cali led switch power the bar but have the led on the switch illuminated at all times?

That happened to me.. light bar came in today. I followed instructions too

EDIT: wait just re-read sorry. So I wired it and have the illumination light on even when the truck is off... the switch works like normal to power the led bar on and off.
I think I did something wrong. I will have to double check my wiring tomorrow.

If you do not want the switch to illuminate at all times an add a fuse/fuse tap will have to be done with the red wire closest to the black on the switch.

I thought I had that wire tapped to my parking lights.

I will have to double check it and show you a photo.
but the switch is illuminated even when the truck is off and locked, and headlights/parking lights are off. It was weird, I ended up disconnecting the light bar from the battery for now.

thanks just saw this too. I think my wire tap may not have connected or spliced all the way.

But one last question the video says

    Red to green.
    white to red near green
    black to black

    the instructions say

    White to Green/Yellow
    Blue(RED?) to Red/Yellow
    Black to Black

    Which one is right?

The video is showing on how to have the light illumined all the time vs the instructions where the light is not illumined all the time.

Pretty much rear ended a semi that had suddenly stopped at a green light.

all good no airbag deployed or injuries. so that's the most important thing. Also I didn't take a pic but from what I saw I think the lightbar survived the impact.

Absolute horror it happened. Absolute joy no injuries!

Hope the insurance experience isn't the worst of it.
