    We I have installed this on a 05,and as long as the bar doesn't mount to the frame your good.....

    PM TacoRex and he can give you more info regarding the mounting locations. I have used my winch over a dozen times now from recovery to pulling downed trees out of the forest for firewood. I love it.

    The one for my 04 is only 365.00.this is first on my list for my truck.....I'm fighting a couple of other issues at this time.but I will get there.

    Not quite the same process considering how much room those 2nd gen's have behind the bumper!

    Maybe if I had a truck to mock up against, but gonna be running my 1st gen into the ground!

    The engineers were a lot more generous with open real estate behind the front bumper, would be nice for designing the WB but kinda stuck with the 1st gen for now.

    So tacorex, you must be the fabricator of the first gen hide a winch plate......????just read the thread from page one.....sorry guy....I'm ordering your plate after I have my diff cover welded on.I'm looking for about the same as you have built....2.5 lift,thinking I'll stay with 265 75 16 tires.would you recommend a after market spring?5100 fronts of course....

    No worries! I've been running my original Winch Basket (WB) for about two years and had reused the stock springs with the bilsteins. As you probably read in the first post they stayed to sag so I upgraded to some toytec springs. Truck sits pretty level now, but it all depends on what you need/want. Feel free to use the links on the first page to do any ordering.
