I just put in for Deer season, and a couple small weekends off. Still have a decent balance to play with. But something always comes up to use it so I have no balance to carry over at end of year:rolleyes:

We ran off to get married. Neither one of us were in love with a big wedding. Don't regret it a bit. We intended to have a family reception, but never did. Saved an ass load of money.

Man that's some strict vacation. I think I'm sitting around 200 hours. Then again, we get comp time instead of time and a half for holidays and OT which adds up quickly sometimes

That was the original plan. Fat Elvis in Vegas, but the second reception/wedding ended up happening.

    Changing the topic.

    What are retirement plans?
    Worried about health care?
Worried that there will enough money in retirement?
Is pension (if you have one) available and does it grow the more years you work?

My biggest worry is heath care.

I should be in good shape money wise. I have no bills and have no issue driving a 16 year old truck.

Pension is now froze, so working beyond 54 gains me nothing. Might as well take the hike and try something new or start my own business. I dunno.

I got 6 years or less to start making some decisions.

Plan is to "retire" at 55. More like financial independence. Basically have enough money to live off of 3-4% per year and work part time or at home doing something.
Health care.... with the back and forth the past years, I'm hoping ^^^ will help us through that if needed.
Retirement, see first one. I am planning our retirement funds with no Social Security. I'm not saying it won't be there in ~20 years, but I'm not planning on it. If it is there, than that means our Yearly spening allotment goes up and it's a nice bonus.

    Pension... What's that?!?! :D:(

4% rule calculator if interested. Not a flawless plan at all, but I've adjusted it a bit and have backup accounts we aren't planning on ( bonus money)
