But as i was catching up i saw your ranger. I want to say thats the first i have ever seen with a shell. It looks sick man. And the 35's make it that much better!

Yeah it took a few thousand miles to break in. I'll still get 16-17 mpg since it's a manual transmission and I really like to get on it. Lol. The picture I took was doing about 55-60 mph mostly in 6th gear. If I'm on the interstate doing 70mph the truck has the aerodynamics of a brick and the best I've seen is about 19mpg with the average closer to 18. However when I pull my boat the mpg doesn't seem to change more that 2mpg. So if you stay under 60 mph you should get in the 20s after you break it in. I've tried a lot of different fuels and the mpg stay pretty close to the same except when I find no ethanol fuel then it bumps up maybe 1 mpg but usually it requires buying premium where I live so it's not worth it.

Check the tensioners that are closer to your cab. Like one of the other posters mentioned, you should be able to close the tailgate first so that you aren't damaging the rubber flap at the end that is meant to keep water out. My process for closing mine has always been to close the tailgate first then close and latch in the tonneau cover. If you close the tailgate over that rubber flap religiously, you will end up creating waves in the rubber flap that will allow more water into your bed. Source: Did this to my first tonneau cover

 

Last night.

 

I put my Rav4 mirrors on, looking to order a tonneau cover soon. I just can't decide what I want... Issue is I want new wheels and tires soon and my wife would murder me if I bought both (honestly probably either)

 

Well in m experience, any water that gets past the seal rolls down the inside of the tailgate and out the bottom opening. No standing water from the tailgate seal area.

It's replacing the Taco mirror glass with glass from the RAV4 mirrors. These have convex blind spot mirrors in the upper corners. this is for the mirrors without the electronic blind spot monitoring system.

I only wish...in 6 months, I have yet to get better than 15mpg. Stock truck. Recently installed a ShiftSense. Maybe that will help.

 

I think tires have a big impact, I'm on the standard Michelin Limited tires which are clearly made for road use.

OK added the LED Backup bulbs today, quite a difference. Now has anyone found LED Turn and Brake light bulbs with the resistor built in to avoid the dreded hyper flash? I do not want to cut the line to add a resistor to fix the hyper flash. If you have found them please post the numbers and where you got them from.

I have a tailgate seal around the opening of my tailgate so water would run into my truck bed if I did not close my tonnea cover last. I like to sit on my tailgate once in awhile and my arse would be wet also if I closed the tailgate last. I'm thinking about taking my tailgate seal off because Toyota left openings in the bed that dust gets sucked up into the bed through. Tonneau cover has gaps at all 4 corners also so what is the use.. could be lazy like most other Lo Pro owners and shut my tailgate last so the seal is folded in on the inside of the tailgate. Just have to dry my tailgate off if I decide to sit on it after a rain or heavy dew. I'll have more dust in my bed also without the tailgate seal. May just take it off and throw it in the dumpster...
