I didn't want them dumping it on my driveway or grass. Cuz I'm picky . Also, I had to get 1/2 ton of river rock in addition to the ton of crushed run. Delivered where I want and when I want. And again, it's easier shoveling this stuff from a trailer than from your truck bed or from the ground. Trust me. Worth the $17 rental to me.

U-Haul trailer, two scoops. I back it to where I want it, spreading the gravel as I move the trailer. I have done this several times. Absolutely not one mark on the bed of my truck. $17

Website also claims minimum Taco payload of 1175 lbs, but that's not the reality. With P&T, mud flaps, and stainless exhaust tip as my only options my CCC is 998 lbs. That does include all fluids (full fuel) but not any passengers.

Be sure the filled bucket is smaller than your bed when dumped.

Had a friend with a 6' bed, get served by a frontloader with an 8' bucket, and dropped the overflow on the tailgate, scratching and denting it.

I used to easily haul 800-1000 in my 4 cyl single cab, through ruts and rocks into camp lol. There were a few times I thought my BFG A/T's were going to rub my rear wheel wells

I used to haul 2000 lbs many times with my '91 4x2 pickup. With that weight, the stops were not touching but you knew you were loaded.

Guaranteed if you put 1620# of gravel in your bed the truck will be sitting on the bump stops and if you have any distance to travel you will most likely damage the suspension. Just take it out loaded and hit a pothole and see what happens.

Held up like a trooper with two loads of half-ton gravel (tarp/visqueen under, of course). Gave it a nice bath and vacuum after unloading. LOVE this truck. NOT a Mall-Crawler.

I usually use an old heavy blanket, much easier to get it out at the end!
