Sad turnout in Minn ... looks to be maybe 300 people (if that) at the game.

    Edit: Angels suck this year.

Yeah, a little help would be appreciated! After the worst start in KC history, 6-17 [I'm a loyal fan and I had serious doubts], the Royals have climbed back in it in the Central but cannot seem to get teams out of our division to beat Minnesota or Cleveland. We won another series tonight, looking for the sweep tomorrow, against Seattle but then have to go play the Dodgers . . . that should be a test on where we are really at?

Come on, little help please? Oh, hey, the Padres held on 1-0 against the Indians. I didn't see that coming the way the Indians can hit. Well, that's ONE!

They were predicted to, even if healthy.

The Dodgers still couldn't take 3 of 4 from them, though.

Also, the Twins are a decent club with postseason potential.

Yeah the Twins are pretty good . . . many pundits are waiting for them to choke but no signs yet. There was a time through April and most of May when the Royals weren't hitting that Sano [Minnesota 3B beast that really ought to be the AL starter!] had more RBIs "against the Royals" than any single player on the Royals had period. But Moose hit number 24 tonight and has 52 ribbies. Nearly 10 more each than Ramirez who is the AL Starter. Sano has 60 RBIs but less homers. All 3 have just 5 errors. My completely worthless opinion is Sano starts, Moose is backup, Ramirez is reserve but who's counting?

But, Hosmer made just his FIRST error all season tonight against Seattle and is batting .313 . . . not even in consideration at first!

Frankly, there is a good argument that Perez should NOT be the AL catcher this year despite my favoritism.

Houston Astros getting some batting practice against the Atlanta Braves. The Astros have an amazing line up.

    Why I am NOT a betting man . . .

So, the Padres actually beat the Indians for the 2nd game in a row. The As actually beat the Twins. So, I got the help I asked for and my Royals could pick up a game on both and we have our ace Vargas on the mound tonight that could actually start the All Star game. Seattle has knocked him around all over the park including 3 homers and lead 6-4. Only the 4th inning and we are the comeback kids but I haven't seen Vargas get hammered like this since before his Tommy John surgery two years ago.

Of course everyone has a bad night but, like I said, this is why I never bet on anything . . . :frusty:

Meh . . . we won anyway. But, you see, with my previous post, I was betting we were going to lose . . . so we won!

Come back kids won 9-6 in 10 for the SWEEP!

Bailed Vargas out and we are just 1/2 game out of 1st!

Have a feeling the Dodgers may have a bit to say about all of this but we will see . . .

Wow. I was watching the Giants game the other day and they showed his progress through three innings and it was one hit, a homer, and three strikeouts. I guess that 4th inning didn't go so well.

Does MLB even give errors to infielders on ground balls anymore? Between yesterday's LAA/MIN game and today's BOS/TB game, there were about 5 ground balls that went as hits that should have hit the books as reaching on error.

If the play should have been routine, it should have been an error. Period. And I have seen a few of those not get called errors this year. In the outfield even more so I think.

But, there is also a push I have noticed the last several years to not punish a hitter that absolutely blistered a ball with no hit because the infielder just knocked it down, got a bad hop, got to it but bobbled it, or bobbled the throw. For example, KC's Moose dove to his right just yesterday, knocked a ball down, slow runner so had the ball not squirted out of his glove, he might well have gotten up and gotten the runner. Error? I think he stopped a for sure double had it gotten past him and by knocking it down he at least saved a run too. I give the Seattle guy a hit.

Didn't see your games but it is all pretty subjective . . . um, kinda like the all star picks but don't get me started!

Some moron on DirecTV after the Seattle game last night had the Royals playing the Doders next. I don't know why but I got a good laugh out of it.

    The Doders?

    I see it's been fixed now . . .

I just hope we show up . . . KC that is.

All you pretty much need to know is the Giants really can't even be considered an MLB team anymore, maybe double A.
