That sounds like a pretty good deal, I mean you have to consider that one of the rims is pretty well sandblasted.

How did getting that thing remounted go @AWilson013? Did they end up finding a bunch of mud still in the tire?

The wife and I have a 3 day weekend this coming weekend...any suggestions on some primitive camping areas? We are having a hard time deciding where to go. I could follow suit and go up Gallagher but would like to try something new. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Does she like mosquitos? Gallagher Head Lake should be renamed to Skeeter birthing factory lake.

Lake Cle Elum is one of my favorite spots to camp... anywhere. Unfortunately, it's not very primitive, and when we were there on Sunday there were literally people kayaking through the trees that are usually on the shore... The water was VERY high.

There are some good spots up near Lion's Rock in the meadows just South of the "summit". This is a good spot kinda tucked in the trees with a view of Rainier at Sunset. Not very remote, however. 47.247824, -120.570548

Lions Rock area is nice, just don't camp in the burned area trees are falling all over. hehe.

Did see about 20 cows and two 6x6 bull elk Tuesday night

If you go past lions rock, haney meadows is a nice spot, with good spots around it before and after.

Picked this up today, and really enjoying it but going to buy a 50mm and see if i like that better.

Anyone have input? I feel like the 85 you have to be so far away to get everything in the picture.

85mm f/1.8 is a hell of a portrait lens. I don't see the use in any other situation, honestly. Especially if you don't have a full frame camera.

@Nimitz definitely knows more than I do.

My favorite lens I have is a 35mm f/1.8 prime. I use it A LOT.

Trying to use it for full body shots of models. The f/1.8 did I what I wanted but i had to stand like 30 feet away from the model to get them in the photo. ha

Which is a DX cropped sensor... I'd go 35mm, if I were you. Otherwise that 50mm is going to be a 65mm, as I think the 7100 is one of those funky 1.3 crop sensors, instead of the typical 1.5.

    If it's a 1.5 it'll essentially function as a 75mm.

*edit* I looked it up... I guess it is a 1.5 crop, but has a setting for 1.3 which will lower the resolution.

    Right, @Nimitz ?

If you PM your address I'll ship you my 35mm f/1.8 to test drive.
