I would move back to my parents, and rent my house for $2300! Thats insane!

I was going to post what I pay, but I have a possible future roommate on this site.. I will say, that I am charging $700 to rent out one of my rooms. Shared kitchen, your own bathroom. My current roommate keeps to himself, so i dont really see him. Its nice to have some extra $ coming in. But he is getting married in 2 months, so that goes away soon

 

Just to give you an idea of my mortgage for the house I live in.....it is less than half of what you are paying per month.

 

my neighbor's townhouse just sold for $564k. 2400 sq ft, 2 car garage, 3 bedroom

Yeah...everything is related though. I am sure that the cost of living is more there as is pay. Here, cost of living is lower as is the pay rate.

I think these also have a private elevator. Or that is what I heard. And you get your own rooftop patio

 

Wow. Luxury+.....but I would still want space to move.
Don't think I could live in a place like that.

my next house will be a real house. Actually I just need a garage and a mattress. But in some cultures that might be considered as homeless

 

I would love to have a garage!! I wouldn't care about the rest of the house really.

 

You guys are paying waaaayyy to much $$ for housing. It may be the area like @EatSleepTacos mentioned. The area that I live it living expenses are fairly low but the school district I am in taxes extremely high. 9k for taxes a year

 

Wow all those prices are insane! I own a house that is close to 1000 sq ft, with a detached 18x24 garage on a 6000 sq ft land and pay 1100$/months. House is a 1989 split level in really good shape. Electricity is cheap like 50/months vs close to 200$/months in winter ( damn cold af winter). All this in canadian dollars. So if one of you guy sell is place and come live here he would be rich!

 

Read it all, popping my build post cherry. 2300 would pay my mortgage for 3 months, have an attached garage, fully enclosed carport and a 2 car detached garage, 3 acres and 1700 sq ft house. Truck build is awesome to read about but you ppl need to MOVE!!!!! lol
