Quick question.....my AEM AFR gauge seems to be stuck at 14.7. Would unscrewing it from the y-pipe and cleaning the sensor fix this? If so, what's the best way?.....or is this like a tell tail sign that the sensor/gauge is shot???

I got my truck back after headers and pulley swap and just noticed the gauge stuck a couple days ago....I'd like to think it was just a fluke thing. I got one coming to swap out....we'll see what happens....

Can you say, did you lost any low end torque? I just removed the OEM Y-pipe and thinking should I modified it somehow...? I need the have 2 decent cats anyway.

No measurable loss of low end torque with my Y pipe rehaul. If anything I actually felt a pick up of power all across. My cats and resonators remain in place before the Y.

They were hard to snap because my skid plate was in the way. I don't think Photobucket is allowing public sharing of photos without a recent account upgrade policy either. I do do have some pics, but I don't think I'd be able to share them unless they were through text or through other social media means for now.

So I know the ucon raises the rev limiter to 6200. I have an auto. I had it manually in third and 4th gear, wot gets up to 5500 and forces a shift no matter where the auto gear lever is. So I guess it doesnt do 6200 on the autos?

IIRC It does that to prevent bouncing the rev limiter and "damaging" the engine. We know it won't, but its what Toyota does to prevent excess wear and such. It does let you shift at rev limiter though for max power. I never did that in my auto but even pedal to the medal it always shifted closer to 5k

You are correct, the ucon on an auto does not go to 6200 rpm. When I was looking into the ucon, that was one of my questions to Gadget and he said the auto still shifts at its regular range.

Oh well no big deal then, I would have like to hear it at 6200 though :(

Which might be a year model or UCON specific thing? Lucario Runner's T4R is an auto, and can reach its higher rpm limit.

Super Werty had to manually shift his auto 4x4 Tacoma to get his full raised rpm limit.

Yeah must be a year issue, because I "manually shifted" and it just shifted anyways

I am thinking it is likely a '12+ change.

Yeah and Gadget knew I had a 13 since I was buying the ucon from him when I asked. I guess I'll know soon enough because I finally got shipping notice just now. I ordered it on the 15th. I think everyone took advantage of the long 4th weekend!

Hey guys! I just bought a 2014 DCSB Tacoma with 45k miles on it, the previous owner out on a TRD supercharger on it at 500 miles. I am new to this whole tacoma and supercharger deal so I want to absorb as much information as I possibly can. What is there that I need to know about these supercharger? What are the maintenance schedule on these?

I REALLY enjoy this truck and plan on keeping it for a long time. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Maintenance is far away referring to the supercharger oil change. Its at 100k miles if I am not mistaken.

Take your time and read through this thread and you will learn all about pulleys and fuel pumps :bananadead: etc

Beware: once you start reading you will start wanting to buy mods and give it more power. Read at your own risk basically

I can attest to this....I was skeptical about getting the s/c at first then got it...I swore to myself I wouldn't mod it ....overtime I've done a full 3" exhaust including headers, CAI, pulley and fuel pump...o_O
