Yeah I'm look for the ability to get full body shots in close urban environments (5-10 feet from model), might keep the 85 for more outdoors nature shoots?

I don't think you'll use it, honestly. More of a facial/upper body portrait type of lens, in my opinion. Especially on a DX frame.

 

Okay that's good know, the return process is pretty easy that's why I bought the 50 to test. Figured I would buy and return until I find the one we need

I'd be up for something as well, would like to meet some of you in person after reading all your posts. 15th-16th is STP weekend though, so I'll be on my way to PDX. 22-23rd would be good though, and I've got a 4-day-er coming up the 28th thru 31st.

My gf has to work this Saturday so I'm open for anything this weekend. Then the 15th-16th looks good. The weekend of the 22nd might not work.

 

Yo are you doing this for your wife's shop? If you're going to need literally head to toe I would go with something like a 35-50 but stand back far enough to get full body and you'll get nice separation. Check out my insta and my website and feel free to ask me some questions.

 

Yeah it's mainly for head to shots for Instagram and Pinterest, kinda more styled shoots. we have a studio setup in the back room for website photos.

I tried putting my 35's on my land cruiser to see if they clear at stock height but apparently the stealth 6's don't fit over the hub.. how ever F5's do.
