More noise than anything. I don't have a lot of noise right now with my setup but I do plan on the roof rack and adding a lot of BD lighting at some point so I'm sure the noise will increase at that point. Just trying to prepare for it the best I can.

Installing my roof rack made Bluetooth phone calls on the highway useless. I can't really hear the noise in the cabin but those on the phone can with the mic right there.

You can do both and some do 3 different layers. Depending on what brand or brands you get, thickness can become an issue tho.

I was a fan of the helos I had on my Tundra. I was kind of surprised to not see any Tacomas with them.

I went with Helos right away when I purchased my truck. Absolutely love them.

Someday I will get to Traverse City! I work for Hagerty Insurance in our Golden, Colorado office. I could use a nice cold Oberon right about now!

That's what I am talking about! I have thought about a road trip to see family in PA this fall. If I do that, I may take an extra week and hit TC first and then head to PA. Just don't know that I want to be gone that long or take that long of a road trip by myself.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
They say the first step in recovery is just admitting you have a problem. All kidding aside the truck does look good.

I've done a few mods to my 2017 taco.

    -Truxedo soft roll top.
-4 inch black oval Lund side bars. Super easy to install, reasonably priced and got a $50 rebate.
-Made my own copy of the Relentless Fabrication mounts for my ax and shovel in the bed.
-pop & lock. It's really not as loud as others complain about unless you're into stealth operating door locks.
-Most recently I added led bed lighting. Really I like this style because of how they are positioned and the install simplification. Plus they have a look like they would be stock. I decided to change it from operating on the courtesy lights to a 3-way switch. I'm so happy I did this. I wanted to be able to turn on the lights from inside the bed without going to the cab or using the key. And I wanted them to operate when the truck is off. ok. Then I thought to myself that I'm going to forget to shut them off one day and drive around with them on. So I decided I need a switch in the cab to shut them off. So I did just that.
-While I was running the wire from the tail to the cab, I decided it would be nice to have an indicator light in the cab to remind me that my tailgate was down. Since I keep my bed cover on almost all the time, I can't see in my mirror if my tailgate is up/down. So I hooked up a simple door pin switch to a red led in the cab. Problems solved. Works fantastic. The led is a bit bright, I know I could wire up some resistors. But those rare occasions where I'll haul something with the tailgate down I may just cover it with a piece of electrical tape.
-Lastly, I did that AC drain line mod. Which is so easy you really have to do it. cost like $3 and may save you from future frame rot.

I incorporated 2 videos since they were short. The wash was actually a few days ago showing how well Wolfgang polish holds BUT the 2nd half shows my latest mod I did today!

My YouTube thumbnail gives you the hint. Skip to 3:04 if you want to see what I got. Added more to the TRD BRO PRO collection.
