She's kind of making it awkward, she brought some guy to the July 4th party we both went to and pissed off her sister who was hosting, she also tried like hell to avoid me, I made sure to say hi and chat for a few minutes before I went and played cornhole.

Her older sister (the party hostess) pulled me aside later that evening once she was pretty hammered and grabbed both of my shoulders and said "please don't move back to Mississippi" I told her I haven't even thought about moving back and she looked relieved and told me "good, I know she was a big reason why you moved up here but I want you to know that I'll always be your friend, I think how she treated you was fucked up and I think she's stupid for it, maybe one day she'll mature enough to realize what's in front of her, but you have other friends up here and you've got a 27 year old outside who's your best friend even though he's never told you (her husband, we spend a decent amount of time together between fishing and helping build his house), not to mention the family you have up here."

Do you think she brought him as a way to tell you to fuck off or do you think she just didnt think much of it? I think her sister is right maybe she's just young and dumb and doesnt want what you're offering right now. Up to you, you can keep chasing her or move on.

Don't know, it's possible she was looking for a reaction, or she brought him for access to weed, she and her 2 friends disappeared for a little bit twice in the evening and were obviously high when they came back. Not sure what caused her to relapse but she knows the consequences that it will have (both legal and familial).
She's immature enough that she likes to get reactions from stuff like that so I wouldn't put it past her.

I'm not chasing her, if she wants to get clean again she knows I'll help her get and stay clean, but I'm not going out of my way to associate with a drug user while I'm actively trying to start a career in LE.

She also seemed very surprised when I texted her last night and asked how she was, she texted back and forth for almost 20 minutes though.

I felt a lot better than I looked in this pic, this was 6-7 hours after I was bet that I couldn't finish a bottle of bourbon that someone else had left  I did it though.

Get her alone, and whip it out. Then, you'll know your answer.
