    which is?

edit not being a smartass, but I only consider Toyota because there reputation for being reliable. Of the 4 fords in my family all have transmission issues even though they are nice looking vehicles.

me too, having a Ford F150 that was a mechanical piece of shit(was tired of fixing it with under 40k miles) is what drove me to get my first Toyota truck which clocked over 100k++ miles doing regular maintainence anyone who thinks Ford,Chevy,Dodge are better bargains and as reliable than Toyotas need their brains checked.

Wasn't the front end supposed to be Americanized?

All in personal experiences. My family has had multiple F-150/F-250s that have all gone over 200,000 miles with no major problems. Our old 1990 F-150 is still a construction truck and our old 2000 F-250 is still a family friend's daily/boat tow rig. Ford has had their fair share of problems, but overall I would argue the F-series is a very well-built vehicle.

They might be keeping it the overseas specs because there is already a strong aftermarket for it.

The company I work for has a few older f150s they use with 110 gallon fuel tanks to fill equipment. They get driven and tore up by different guys everyday. With a load always on them and they all have over 300k on them. With the 5.4 motors. They are good trucks. The ecoboost I wouldn't trust so much

is that why you have an Infinity M35X(signature) as your car? Why not a Ford Mustang? If your family has had extremely positive experiences with Fords you would think that you would stay within the Ford family for all your vehicles(most people who are truly Ford fans do). Just making an observation. In my case the one and only and last Ford vehicle was a complete disaster and now have had 2 Toyota trucks since and am staying in the Toyota car/truck family because of my positive experiences.

Ford has already stated it will be a unique design (exterior styling will be different) and NOT the same as the ones from overseas.

And how many 3rd gen owners have been left stranded so far because of CPS issues? That build quality doesn't look promising to me.

yes, how many? can you give us a real number?? NO!! but again your putting out another false narrative that their are 3rd GEN tacomas strewn all over the roads broken down because of CPS failure.

I haven't gotten my cps recall notice yet. Hope mine doesn't leave me stranded. I guess I better make sure the old volvo 240 will start up just in case I need it.

It kind of looks between an Explorer and a Ridgeline. I am interested in seeing this because the 2020 Bronco :lalala: is the one I am saving for...

    Exactly.

That's an aging design anyway. Still got a couple years before the ranger is out. That's strictly a test mule. Its just the euro body running all the new electronics and powertrain for testing purposes. Ford stamped a few older generation f150s in aluminum and used those for testing purposes for the new f150's long before they released the current gen. They actually gave a few to a construction company for their fleet without them knowing and after a year or so they got them back to check them out. Pretty smart idea. Also they ran one in the Baja race without anyone noticing. Again afterwards they tore it all down for engineering purposes.

Chances are the new Ford Ranger will not have 280,000+ vehicles affected by recall notices.

Wow, this is quite a reach. Did I say somewhere that Ford was the only good manufacturer out there, or even say that they were the best? If so, I don’t remember that - my bad. I see that I said “Ford has had their fair share of problems, but overall I would argue the F-series is a very well-built vehicle.” Not sure where I mention the Mustang in there at all, but hey, whatever. I never said I was a Ford “fan” like you say…I think they make some quality vehicles, first of which would be their trucks, which are their bread and butter. I think a much easier assumption would be that you’re an unapologetic Toyota fanboy based off your posts, which is your right. But to think that no one else makes a quality product besides Toyota (even when plenty of 3rd party reviews/publications cite declining quality in Toyota/Tacoma) is foolish, IMO.

Yeah, I drive an old beater Infiniti right now. Why not a Mustang? Because I needed a cheap, reliable, 4 door car and I like creature comforts like leather, woodgrain, and heated/cooled seats and the Infiniti fit the bill the best of the options I found. If I had found a Toyota, Lexus, or whatever else that worked better, I would have bought that. I’m not brand loyal and try to make the best choice given what my options are. I had a 2015 F-150 before the Infiniti, and a 2009 Tacoma before that, both of which were great trucks. I got rid of the F-150 not because I didn’t like it, but because we moved, bought a fixer-upper house, and my wife took a new job with a significant pay cut but which made her much happier, so I sold the truck to help support her in her career. But if you want to keep making assumptions based off of one comment, that’s fine.
