Sand ladders are quite popular all over the world. I was taking with the manufacturer of what is commonly accepted as the best of the best three years ago about being in some in but couldn't drum up enough interest in them to help offset the freight fees to make it worth doing.

For me to make it viable I'd have to order at least ten, I really only want four or five tops, no one else was interested at the time. If interest had changed I can get back in touch and see where we stand.

Got my roof rack installed. Bad photos. I'm waiting until I have a daily driver to start bolting cases and a road shower to it.

A daily driver is the best mod you can do for your truck.

I know the feeling. I have a tall camper shell with a rack on top. It's 6'10"

What are you thinking as your daily driver?

I use a 2009 Suzuki V Strom 650. It gets 46mpg...that's mostly going 80-85 on the highway. When I go 55mph I get 60mpg. I'm also making a bicycle rack for it so I can carry my mountain bike on the back. With the rack and hard side cases it'll be good to go.
So far the bike has paid for 1/3 of itself in gas savings since last September.

I live in LA, I'll die on a motorcycle lol.

I'm looking at an old accord. My grandmother is getting close to not driving on her own anymore. It's an ugly piece of shit, but it runs and is cheap.

Sounds perfect! I've been thinking about moving from San Jose to LA...the traffic is a differant animal down there. That's my biggest concern. Other than that LA has everything I want.

I'm a somewhat rare case but I absolutely despise LA.

I work Downtown and on the West Side, but I live more east. My commute across LA sucks, but the only thing I would hate more than my 1.5 hour commute each way is living downtown or on the West Side. The traffic over here isn't terrible. Go to Santa Monica or Bev Hills and it makes you want to die.

Also living costs are double what they are on this side.

Glad you're still alive!! I really focus on becoming a better safer rider every day. I ride very conservatively and don't take chances. I still lane split and ride fast but I try to limit the dumb shit I see other riders doing daily.

With that said, and you know this, it doesn't matter what you're doing right and wrong. It's that distracted driver that's gonna get you eventually. Like you said it's not a matter of if but when.

I hate when people jump the yellow for that exact reason. People don't watch for motos in LA. People are dicks. The traffic just makes it worse since it aggravates people to want to jump the yellow or switch lanes aggressively.

I'm right there with you. I also despise LA and I was born and raised here.

I would love to live somewhere else but kids+family+wife likes it here = stuck.

I'm rare in that everybody I meet that lives here loves it...

Everybody who doesn't live here hates it. Santa Monica brainwashes people. Everybody that lives there gets so wrapped up by the beach being nearby that they don't realize how shitty it is

The beach is only enticing if you are within walking distance. Otherwise traffic and parking suck and I don't care for crowds.

I will say that it is 78 in SM today and 100 in Pasadena.

Still would rather be in Glendale/Pasadena Area.

I like SB for the beach.
