This whole week has been one last minute thing after another. Canceled Vegas plans for next week because I was supposed to go to Louisiana for the month. Found out Louisiana is not happening now. Got told I have training all of August instead. And now there is a high possibility of me re enlisting for another year with the national guard and moving to visalia for a full time national guard job... means my girl will have to try to get a transfer to bww in Visalia approved, have to find a house there AND get everything moved within the next month and a half to 2 months. Fuuuuuck -_-

Couldn't that be different if you just didn't re-enlist? Seems like a lot of work and stress to jump back in to.

To be fair I've attempted many times to get up and move to TX as well but wife won't go for it.

Edit. She would but not without her mom. So ya. Here we are.

Well, it ain't easy. It's sucked some. Good days, bad days. But, we know that in the end, it'll pay off. :ballchain:

It was one of those things where we kept "talking" about moving out of California, but that was the extent of it. Then, this opportunity popped up, and we just said FUCK IT, let's go. Honestly, if we kept "talking" about it, it would have never happened.

    Miss the Bay/California....but no regrets.

FYI, they sell fat houses in Texas called "multi-generational" homes. Basically, your MIL could live with you and have her own kitchen/living quarters.....just saying. :D

You can't leave. The guilt of the amount of heartbreak you'd cause me is enough by itself to keep you

Only thing that sucks about Texas is lack of public lands. California is like 50% public Texas is around 5%. Just that much less land to go wheeling and camping on.
