They are more of a glossy black, almost satin. The only reason I can see why they said they were chrome is because the inner threads are chrome, other than that, they aren't chrome in any way. Just shiny black, look great, I attach a pic later

Yea, definitely better looking than their picture shows.

I ran those on my previous wheels, and on my last car... Have them in chrome on my current wheels

Yea, I'm glad I listened to everyone including Vin at SCS because they definitely seem like it's a well respected brand.

Yep, and although they aren't locks, spline drive does require a key and that's more than most petty thieves with a tire iron will have

Yea, definitely love at first sight for me. I think they have magical powers because I just had to have them.

Do a search on the forum for SCS. There are a couple thread but these wheels - SCS RAY 10 is here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/scs-ray10-wheels-16x8-17x8-5.433484/page-78#post-15547448

Mine are limited edition Brushed Copper. There's a rumor they might be offering these again.

Apparently you have to live on their website, Instagram and every forum they are a vendor on, including the threads on this one because Vin, the vendors name at SCS, posts an announcement when the are offering any of the models they sell. From that time things get crazy. People offer their first born etc in hopes of securing a set. There are no pre orders, no lists, and it's first come first served.

I was set to wait until my luck prevailed. Then out of the blue I received a PM from another forum member that wanted to sell these. Even a 5th in case something ever happens to one of the other 4! So as soon as humanly possible I'm having them wrapped with Nitto Ridge Grapplers in the 265/70r17 size. I don't want to lift so I shouldn't have to with this setup.

Are you kidding me!? It took me about 5 or 6 posts back and forth to lock in the deal. They are scheduled to be delivered this coming Thursday via FedEx and they are holding them for pick-up so they aren't sitting outside of my door unsafe.

I'll be blowing up this forum with pics as soon as I have them mounted.

    Rob

To anyone that lives in Los Angeles, there are a lot of Toyota scrap yards in sun valley that will just have parts such as lug nuts laying around for cheap. Mine were all strip for whatever reason, so I drove out to sun valley and got all new ones for like 25-30 bucks.
